Meet Lucy

Having been self-employed for 15 years as a qualified dance teacher (NATD Fellowship) and understanding the benefits of movement and dance upon the mind and the body, I have always had an interest in how the mind influences us physically and vice versa.

The greater percentage of my working life has however been spent in the corporate management environment and it has become more and more evident that stress is a huge problem at every level whether you are working in production, administration or management.

Seeing the effects of stress in the workplace upon both myself and the lives of colleagues I decided to study stress management, mainly for my own personal wellbeing and sanity!  Having gone on to complete the advanced stress management practitioner qualification I recognised the link between stress and diet and studied nutritional qualifications in support of my stress management studies. Since I began my journey I have added accountability coaching and emotional aromatherapy advisor to my portfolio allowing me to confidently support others in their journey to a better and happier life.

My key aims remain, to continue my education in understanding the mechanics of stress and the impact upon us as humans, and to support others to be able to live a life full of joy and happiness. Harnessing the techniques I have learnt and still practice each and every day along with the use of the most beautiful essential oils gifted to us by Mother Earth, I would like to help you to reach your stress management goals.

Through collaborative discussion, the daily use of proven techniques and one to one support you can release yourself from the effects of stress and learn to step into your best self.

Bliss Cavalier Rescue

As a life-long supporter of animal welfare and a lover of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels I will be donating 10% from all consultations to the wonderful charity Bliss Cavalier Rescue and I am proud to be able to support them through my work.

About Bliss Cavalier Rescue

Here at Bliss Cavalier Rescue (registered Charity: 1193078) we are a breed specific foster & rescue for the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (CKCS) breed.  With a HQ in Lincolnshire, we operate a rescue and foster programme throughout the UK.  The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is one of the UK’s most popular dog breeds, they have the happiest, kindest nature and love everyone.  Sadly, this means that unscrupulous breeders and puppy farmers take advantage and breed them with no regard for their welfare, leaving organisations like ours to pick up the pieces.

We have a very committed team of volunteers who manage all areas of our operation: foster co-ordination, transportation, adoptions, fundraising etc.  We are proud to be a purely voluntary team (bar one part time admin member of staff), meaning that all our funds are spent on direct rescue and adoption.  In short, we change the lives of this magnificent breed for the better.

A large part of our work, aside from rescuing and finding loving forever homes is to ensure the diagnosis and treatment of such illnesses inflicting our rescue dogs.  In recent times, there has been a significant increase in the rise of dogs being relinquished into our care with severe health and behavioural problems.  This puts not only a huge strain on our foster families but also our finances and ability to rehome.

In 2020 we became an official breed specific partner of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, a relationship we are incredibly proud of.  This relationship is two-fold in that we offer our breed expertise to them, whilst also committing to take any Cavaliers coming into their rescue.
